Running Down The Avenue, See How The Sun Shines Brightly…

Nicely done those of you who guessed where the last post title came from! Welcome Back Kotter of course. Now for a new challenge….what about today’s? The answer is hidden at the bottom of this post for you impatients. 🙂

So it’s been almost a week since my last post? Not so good. Don’t worry though, I’m getting back into it with the 30 for 30 challenge starting tomorrow. More details to come…well, tomorrow.

This is what I wore on Saturday, and  just in case anyone needs clarification, those are TOMS, not Sperry’s (the blight of malls and college campuses everywhere in Texas these days).

As I sit here awaiting massive winter weather, it’s hard to believe this weekend was so beautiful and temperate. The sun came out for the first time in a very long time. The temperatures were in the 70’s all weekend and it felt like home. We slept in, went to Rosa’s for lunch, and hung out at B&N all afternoon. I tried to read all of Matt Baglio’s The Rite. Very interesting stuff and not at all like the movie (also interesting stuff, and scary, that’s why I had to sleep in, ok, not really).

This was a perfect outfit for the day. I told Drew this is my “I want to be laid back and casual on a Saturday, but not sloppy or messy and not 17 at the same time.” No really, I told him exactly that. He laughed and said I looked cute.  He’s great like that. I know he’s wondering what the heck I’m saying half the time though.

Top: American Eagle

“Mr. Blue Sky, please tell us why you had to hide away for so long? Where did we go wrong?””><img
